Small Moves offers competitive rates for a high quality furniture removal service. Small Moves operates on an hourly rate which commences when the movers arrive at your pick up address and finishes when the movers complete unloading at your last delivery address. The only other charge is a call out fee which ranges from a fixed 15 minutes each way for local Christchurch moves and may go up to half an hour to an hour each way if you live rural All prices are GST inclusive.

Large Truck and 2 Movers
The Small Moves removal trucks sized from 20m3 to 40m3 are ideal for single items to three bedroom houses. These trucks are fully equipped with everything necessary for an efficient furniture removal including trolleys, protection blankets, ties, hand trucks and two professionally trained movers.

Large Truck and 3 Movers
3 movers and a truck is ideal for homes multi story homes, large homes, homes with bad access and commercial office relocation's. the rate is a little more expensive but your move will be quicker and more efficient and generally works out around the same price as a truck and 2 men.

Extras
Additional Removalist
To add an additional removalist to your move it is an extra $40 per hour. This is a great way to speed up a removal and also recommended if you have any particularly heavy items.
Packing Services
Small Moves can provide professional packing services to pack all your belongings into boxes ready for safe transit. we can pack your whole home or just your kitchen and fragile items, we can Taylor a service to your specific needs. Pricing is per hour plus the materials needed to safely pack your home. we are happy to visit you prior to your removal and provide a fixed quote for your pack and move service.
Exit Clean
We have a team of cleaners ready to clean your old house when moving out, lets face it, cleaning is the last thing you want to be doing on moving day. let us take care of it.
we charge $60.00 per hour per cleaner, this includes all materials needed to clean your home. we do not clean carpets, windows or ovens.
Oversized Items
Over sized items don’t cost any more but we need to know about them to ensure we have the right equipment on your removal and can sometimes also require a third mover. Please let the office know at the time of booking if you have a piano or any other items over 125kgs.
Please note we do not class double door fridges as oversize items.
Moving out of Christchurch?
For removals outside of Christchurch, the hourly rate is only used for loading and unloading then changes to a transit charge of $3.95. Alternatively we are happy to give you a fixed quote.
Insurance
All removals are at owner’s risk. This means no compensation will be paid for any losses, damages or shortages. It is acknowledged, agreed, and declared that the Contract of Carriage evidenced hereby is a Contract for Carriage at owner’s risk. This means that the company as carrier will pay no compensation if the goods are lost or damaged unless the company intentionally loses or damages them.
We recommend you speak to your house and contents insurance provider or speak to us prior to your removal so we an organise insurance cover for your removal.
